Lifeline
The lifeline or lifelines (according to the UNI EN 795 standard) is a set of anchors placed at a height on the roofs to which the operators are hooked by means of harnesses and relative lanyards. The screw lines are compulsorily installed on the roofs of new buildings and also of existing buildings, in a stable way, for their future maintenance, following a regulation currently adopted only by some Italian regions. (Legislative Decree of April 9, 2008, n. 81 – “Implementation of article 1 of the law of August 3, 2007, n. 123, concerning the protection of health and safety in the workplace” – Art. 115 “Protection systems against falls from heights “):
“Work at height can expose workers to very high risks to their health and safety, in particular to the risk of falling from a height and other serious accidents at work. Any manager of a property (condominium administrator or owner) or the employer, managers and supervisors may be involved in criminal and civil actions if violations or deficiencies with regard to the regulations in force regarding the protection of work at height emerge. The stable type life lines (according to the standard UNI EN 795 ) consist of a set of anchors placed at a height on the covers to which operators are hooked by means of harnesses and relative lanyards. They are installed on the roofs of new buildings for their maintenance and for the periodic maintenance of any photovoltaic systems or roofs, following a national legislation currently adopted only by some Italian regions including Emilia-Romagna. ”
