Project Description

El Dorado Airport is the international airport of Bogota in Colombia. It was built in 1955 and has since become a true reference point for South America.

In fact, in 2011 it was the third airport by number of passengers in South America, surpassed only by the airports of Mexico City and São Paulo (city).

The need therefore was to renovate the Eldorado by designing two new terminals.

The project involved the construction of lifelines on the roof to serve the roofs of the terminals, the lifelines had to be able to allow normal transit in safety on all the roofing mantles and the structural fixings had to be tied to the roofing slabs without perforating them.

The system in question is therefore made up of AISI 304 stainless steel elements assembled with stainless steel screws and fixed to special Riverclack roofing plates by means of ad hoc sized brackets and without drilling the plates.

The installed life lines are all complete with sliding trolley, therefore the operators are always tied to the cable without having the possibility of unhooking; the final result is the creation of vita lines equal to ml. 3,000 fully sliding.

The Securope® lifeline; it is certified according to the regulations in force (UNI-EN 795/02) and is guaranteed for 10 years .
